12/13/09 Kendall won WB, BOW and BOS for a 4 point major in Bethlehem, PA under judge
Toddie Clark. This was only Kendall's third show! At the AKC National Championship show,
Peyton won an AOM under judge James Reynolds!
12/12/09 Dottie won WB and BOS for a 4 point major in Bethlehem, PA under judge Mims
Datskow! Go Dottie!
12/10/09 Waverly won WB and BOS over specials for a 4 point major in Cleveland, OH under
judge Meredith Johnson-Snyder!
12/3/09 Bodhi won the Breed today in Providence, RI at the Middlesex County KC show under
judge Eric Ringle!
11/29/09 Dottie was WB, BOS under judge Wendy Wilhauck at the Worcester County KC show
on Sunday. She was also Best Bred By Exhibitor and went on to a BBE Working Group 1 under
judge Colleen Stevens!
11/28/09 Sabina was WB, BOW, BOB under judge Paul Wilhauck at the Worcester County KC
show on Saturday. She was also Best Puppy and went on to a Puppy Working Group 1 in tough
competition under judge William Lannon!
11/21/09 Peyton was BOB in Palm Springs CA under judge Dr Alvin Krause and on the East Coast
Dottie was Reserve to a major at the Thanksgiving Classic Cluster in Springfield, MA. We also
learned that Bodhi was a Top 5 Newfoundland for the period Jan 1 to Oct 31, 2009 and received
an invitation to the Westminster KC dog show!
11/12/09 Today was a very sad day for the Tempest crew as we said goodbye to our senior dog
Quinner. He was 12 years and 1 month old today.
11/8/09 Dottie was WB, and BOS for a point in Fitchburg, MA under judge Robert Fetter! And at
the NPD Draft Test, Sneakers earned his DD! Go Sneakers and Kandy!
11/7/09 Sabina was WB, and BOS for a point in Fitchburg, MA under judge William Shelton.
Sabina also won Best BBE and BBE Working Group 3rd!
10/25/09 On Sunday, in Dixon, CA Walter again won BOS at the Sacramento Valley Dog Fanciers
show under judge Paula Nykiel, while Fancy repeated her wins in the 9-12 Regular and Sweeps
classes in Leesburg, VA and again went on to Reserve Winners Bitch at the Colonial Regional
Specialty under breeder judge Beverly Eichel. It was a great finish to a fabulous weekend!
Thanks to Debbie and Todd Bridge for their hospitality and for the opportunity to see our boy
Walter doing so well in person!
10/24/09 On Saturday, Tink won 1st in the 12-18 class at the Sacramento Valley Dog Fanciers
show under judge Jean Fournier, while Fancy won the 9-12 Regular and Sweeps classes in
Leesburg, VA and went on to Reserve Winners Bitch at the Colonial Regional Specialty under
breeder judge Brenda Santiago. In the Northeast, Kelly won BOB and Ben won BOS in
Springfield, MA under judge Steven Gladstone, and in the south, Stonewall was Winners Dog and
Best of Winners for the final points to complete his Championship under judge Terry Berrios!
10/23/09 The Tempest Newfs had a wonderful weekend from coast-to-coast! On Friday Walter
won BOS at the NCNC Regional in Northern CA under breeder judge Roger Frey!
10/18/09 On Sunday in West Springfield, MA at the Troy KC show, Dottie was WB for another
point, while Bodhi won BOB and a Working Group 2 under judge Bonnie Linnell Clarke! On the
other coast, Walter was BOS at the Del Valle KC show in northern CA.
10/11/09 On Sunday in Augusta, NJ, Sabina was Winners Bitch, Best of Winners, and Best Puppy
for a 3 point major under judge Judith Goodin at the Ramapo Valley KC show. She also went on
to a Puppy Working Group 3 under Robert Indeglia. Bodhi won BOB! Walter again won BOB in
Yuba City, CA under judge Joan Frailey at the Two Cities KC show. Phoenix again requalified
for his WRD at the SENC Water Test, and Grover finished his Rally Novice title in just 3 shows
with scores of 92, 98 and 96!
10/10/09 The Tempest Newfs continued their great weekend on Saturday! In Augusta, NJ,
Sabina was Reserve Winners Bitch, and Best Puppy in SHOW at the Ramapo Valley KC show
under breed Barbara Finch, Puppy Group judge Gay Hisatocky and Puppy BIS judge David
Osbourne. Meanwhile on the other side of the country, the Walter won BOB in Yuba City, CA
under judge Lowell Davis at the Two Cities KC show. Travelling south, Phoenix requalified for
his WRD at the SENC Water Test.
10/9/09 Ashley was Best Veteran Newfoundland at the Harvest Cluster show in Augusta, NJ under
breeder judge Janet Cohen!
10/4/09 Sabina was Best Puppy in Match at the NCNE Fall Fun Match under breeder judge Robin
Seaman, while Shelby's Mr Blue Boy was Best of Opposite Puppy in Match from the 3-6 mos class!
Meanwhile on the other side of the country, the puppies "Uncle Walter" won BOS in Northern
CA.
9/27/09 Sabina was Winners Bitch for her first win - a 3 point major under judge Doris Cozart!
Kelly won BOS with junior handler Jessie Thibault!
9/26/09 BJ was Winners Bitch for a 4 point major and her Championship at the Genessee
Regional Specialty under judge Jacqueline Rayner. Sabina won the 9-12 puppy bitch class in
regular and Sweeps and was also Best in Sweepstakes. Kelly was BOS, while Bodhi won the
AOM! A great regional for the Tempest crew!
9/25/09 Bodhi won BOB under judge Patricia Lanctot and Shelby was BOS at the second day of
the Wine Country Circuit!
9/24/09 BJ won a 3 point major under judge Virginia Lyne at the first day of the Wine Country
Circuit in Romulus NY! Sabina was Reserve WB from the 9-12 puppy class.
9/20/09 Dottie won her very first point going Winners Bitch and BOW, while Kelly was BOS
under judge Kathryn Roberts at the Northwestern CT Dog Club show in Goshen, CT! But even
more exciting was the news that Stonewall won a major in Atlanta at the Newnan KC show under
judge Susan Catlin!
9/19/09 BJ was Winners Bitch for another point and Shelby was BOS at the Ox Ridge KC show in
Shelton, CT under judge Pat Laurans. In Atlanta, GA under judge Catherine Bell, Stonewall was
Winners Dog, Best of Winners for 2 more points!
9/16/09 Ben earned his CGC with owner Jackie Regina at Tails-U-Win training center. Go Ben
and Jackie!!
9/6/09 Bodhi won another BOB ribbon at the Westchester KC show under judge Paula Hartinger
and made the cut in a tough working group under judge Pat Laurans!
9/5/09 Stonewall won another point in Raleigh, NC on Saturday, under Newfoundland breeder
judge Janet Cohen!
8/30/09 Kelly won another BOS in Augusta NJ with junior handler Jessie Thibault, while on the
West Coast Peyton went BOB at the Santa Barbara KC show!
8/29/09 Ben was again WD under judge Don Emslie for 2 points to finish his Canadian
Championship! Go Ben and thanks to Bob and Jackie Regina for making Ben the first Canadian
Champion for Tempest!
8/28/09 Kelly was BOB at the Newton KC show in Augusta NJ under judge Robert Smith. Go
Jessie and Kelly!! Further north, Ben won WD and BOB under judge Tom Nesbitt for another
point toward his Canadian Championship.
8/23/09 Kelly won another 4 BOS wins Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday in West
Springfield, MA, while Stonewall picked up 2 more points in Atlanta, GA!
8/16/09 The Tempest Newfs had a great weekend at the NCNE Water Test! Renata, Bodhi,
Trident, Livy, Grover and Finn all turned in great performances, and Livy and Grover came home
with new Water Dog titles! Congrats to Livy (handled by Steve) and to Grover (handled by
Joyce Arivella)!
8/9/09 Kelly finished the weekend with another BOS win at the Bennington KC show under
judge Robert Whitney. Stonewall was WD, BOW for another 2 points at the Carolina KC show
under judge Patricia Hess, and Jackson finished out his big weekend with a third win under
judge Judith Smith - WD, BOW for a third 4 point major to finish his Championship! Huge
thanks to David Helming for showing Jackson to his weekend wins!
8/8/09 Kelly was BOB at the Southern Adirondack Dog Club Supported Entry under judge Roger
Frey, while Bodhi was BOS. Kelly was handled by Jessie Thibault and went on to a Group 4
placement under judge Lorraine Boutwell! Jackson won another 4 point major at the Penn Ridge
KC show in Harrisburg, under judge Peter Baynes.
8/7/09 The Tempest Newfs were out in force this weekend! Jackson was WD, BOW and BOB for
a 4 point major at the Penn Ridge KC show in Harrisburg, PA under judge Robert Eisele. He
went on to a Group 4 under judge Ed Lyons. Stonewall was WD, BOW for 2 more points at the
Greater Hickory KC under judge Carmen Battaglia, and Sneakers earned his third Rally Excellent
leg to finish his title!
8/6/09 Bodhi was BOB and won the Working Group in Ballston Spa at the Glens Falls KC show
under judge Barbara Dempsey Alderman, who judged the breed and the group!! Kelly was BOS
shown by junior handler Jessie Thibault!
8/5/09 Stonewall was WD for a point at the Danville KC show under judge Charlotte Clem
McGowan.
8/2/09 BJ was again WB, BOS for a single point at the Cheshire KC Show in Keene, NH. Jackson
was RWD, under judge Wendy Wilhauck. Ben won one more BOB in Canada before heading
home with 7 points toward his Canadian Championship! Go Bob and Ben!
8/1/09 Jackson won BOB at the Pioneer Valley KC for one point under judge Anthony DiNardo!
BJ was Winners Bitch and BOS for a point as well. Across the border in Canada Ben again won
BOB and a Group 2 under judge Merlin Van De Kinder!
7/31/09 Ben won BOB and a Group 3 in Canada at the Societe Canine De Quebec show in Sainte
Foy, Quebec under judge Ann Hennigan! This was Ben's first Canadian win!
7/26/09 Peyton won BOB at the Lompoc Valley KC under judge Sharon Krogh!
7/25/09 Finn earned his third Rally Novice leg to complete his title!
7/18/09 Kelly was again BOB at the Nita Nee KC and Jessie and Kelly again won Best Junior
honors. This is Jessie's 10th first place win in Open Senior and qualifies her to show in Juniors
at Westminster KC next February!
7/17/09 Kelly was BOB at the Nita Nee KC and also helped her handler Jessie Thibault win Best
Junior Handler!
7/13/09 Shelby and Jackson are the proud parents of 7 puppies - 3 boys and 4 girls!
7/12/09 On Sunday in Essex Junction, VT Bodhi won another BOB and a Group 2!
7/10/09 Tipper and Jackson are the proud parents of 6 puppies - 3 boys and 3 girls!
7/5/09 On Sunday, Shirley went WB, BOS one more time under judge Steve Gladstone to finish
her Championship!
7/4/09 On Saturday, Bodhi won another BOB under judge Beverly Vics, while Shirley was WB,
BOS for a 4 point major! Jackson was Reserve Winners Dog.
7/3/09 Bodhi was again BOB on Friday at the Yankee Classic under judge Janet Sinclair. Shirley
was Reserve Winners Bitch.
7/1/09 Bodhi won another BOB at the first day of the Yankee Classic cluster of dog shows, under
judge Ed Lyons. Kelly was BOS and Jackson was Reserve Winners Dog.
6/28/09 Bodhi was again BOB on Sunday at Wampanoag KC, and went on to a Group 4 placement
in the Working Group! Go Bodhi!! Kelly was BOS handled by Jessie Thibault!
6/27/09 Bodhi won another BOB at the Hockamock KC, while Critter PWD was Best Puppy and
took home a Puppy Group 4 with handler Joanne Thibault!
6/20/09 At the Bear Mtn Regional Specialty, Sabina again won the 6-9 puppy bitch class, Best
Puppy and Best in Puppy Sweeps! Shirley won the BBE class under judge May Bernhardt, while
Shelby was BOS.
6/19/09 Sabina won the 6-9 puppy bitch class at the Bear Mtn Supported Entry and Best in Puppy
Sweeps under judge Diane Keyser! BJ was WB for a 5 point major under judge Helene Nietsch,
while Shelby won BOS.
6/6/09 Critter won first place in the 6-9 puppy sweeps and 6-9 regular classes at the Nutmeg
PWD Specialty at the Greenwich KC show under judge Wendy Wilhauck. Critter was beautifully
groomed and presented by junior handler Joanne Thibault. Critter was also Best PWD Puppy and
Bristol was Best Newfoundland Puppy, and after both competing in the Puppy Working Group,
Critter ended the day with a Puppy Working Group 1! Kelly also competed at Greenwich in her
first weekend as a special and won BOS, while Bodhi won BOB and made the cut in the real
Working Group.
6/5/09 Bodhi was BOS at the Taconic Hills KC!
5/31/09 Kelly finished her Championship in style with a 4th major at the Framingham District KC
show in Wrentham, MA. Kelly was WB, BOW under judge William DeVilleneuve and was handled
exclusively to her Championship by her junior handler Jessica Thibault! Congrats to Jessie and
Kelly and to the rest of Kelly's family - Jane and Lori! Kelly is Ashley's 15th Champion!
5/25/09 Peyton won another BOB on the final day of the Mission Circuit, while Walter was WD,
BOW for his final point! Congrats to Todd and Debbie Bridge on Walter's Championship!! Livy is
very proud of her two new Champion offspring in one weekend!
5/24/09 Peyton again won the Breed at the Mission Circuit, while in Northern CA his brother
Walter earned another Championship point owner handled by Debbie Bridge! Across the country
in Freehold NJ, Bodhi took home a BOB ribbon as well!
5/23/09 The Tempest Crew had great wins in 2 countries - Peyton moved up and went BOB over
some top Specials on the second day of the Mission Circuit under judge Lester Mapes. At the
Canadian National, Bristol won the junior puppy (6-9 mos) bitch class in Sweeps under judge Lory
Ross, and went on to Best of Opposite Sex in the Puppy Sweepstakes! Bristol also won the
regular junior puppy class under breed judge John Ross. Renata won the Open Class and went on
to Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex over the Specials! Renata was BOS to her father
Jefferson who won the Canadian National going WD, BOW, BOB!
5/22/09 Peyton was Winners Dog for a 3 point major to finish his Championship at the first day
of the Mission Circuit in CA under judge Betty Regina Leininger! It was a great start to the
Memorial Day weekend for the Tempest Newfs!
5/16/09 Bodhi was BOB at the Vacationland KC show under judge Charles Olvis and went on to a
Group 3 placement!
5/10/09 Bodhi repeated his Saturday performance on Sunday with a BOB win at the Windham
County KC under judge Barbara Dempsey Alderman, and another Group 2 placement under judge
Paula Nykiel! Kelly was WB, BOS for another point. Kelly now only needs one single point to
finish her Championship! Kelly was shown by junior handler Jessie Thibault.
5/9/09 Bodhi was BOB at the St Hubert's Kennel Club show and went on to a Group 2 under judge
Edeltraud Laurin!
5/3/09 Peyton won another BOB in California and went on to a Group 3 win under judge Burton
Yamada! Congrats to Peyton's owners Charma and Adrienne Hill, and Denise Hatekayama!
4/26/09-5/2/09 Newfoundland National Specialty, Frankenmuth, MI
- Mark earned his DD on the first day of the National Specialty Draft Test - congrats to his
owner/handler Karen Dunaway!
- Sneakers earned two Rally Excellent legs and two Novice obedience legs to finish his CD at
the National! Congrats to owner/handler Kandy Adams!
- Bristol was 3rd in her 6-9 mos Puppy Sweeps class and 2nd in the 6-9 mos regular Puppy
class.
- Hollis was 2nd in the 9-12 mos regular Puppy class.
- Shirley was 2nd in the American Bred bitch class handled by Steve, while Kelly won the
class handled by junior handler Jessie Thibault! Kelly and Jessie also came in 2nd place in
the Open Senior Junior handling competition.
- Finn earned 2 Rally Novice legs with owner-handler Kirsten Tomlinson and now just needs
one more leg for his title!
- BJ won the Open Black class handled by breeder-owner-handler Ingrid Lyden! Ingrid also
handled BJ's Mom Andie in the Top 20 competition.
- Walter picked up another Rally Advanced leg, and a 2nd place in the American Bred dog
class! Thanks to Sonda Petersen for handling him to his class win and his owner-handler
Debbie Bridge for his excellent work in Rally.
- Phoenix won the VN Dog class with owner-handler Donna Smith! Donna did a fabulous job
showing Phoenix in a tough class!!
- Ashley, Shelby and Bristol were 2nd in the Maturity Class, while the Tempest Crew
(represented by Shelby, Shirley and Mark) came in 3rd in the Breeder's Class under judge
Sandra D'Andrea!
- Livy won the Brood Bitch class (accompanied by Shirley and Jackson) in a large,
competitive entry, under judge Donna Buxton.
- Thanks to all of the Tempest crew who travelled to the National - it was great to see
everyone in the ring!!!
4/24/09 Peyton won BOB in California and went on to a Group 4 win under judge Ed Lyons!
Peyton was owner-handled by Adrienne Hill!
4/18/09 Ben won BOB at the Pioneer Valley KC show under judge Ken Doeg! Ben was owner
handled by Bob Regina - congrats to Team Ben!
4/12/09 The Tempest crew rounded out the long show weekend at the Mason & Dixon KC show
with a BOS win for Shelby, first in Sweeps and Regular 6-9 mos puppy class for Bristol Bear, and
1st in the American Bred Class for Shirley. The Sweeps judge was Lynn Hamilton and the regular
classes were judged by Lawrence Stanbridge.
4/11/09 We had a wonderful time at New-Pen-Del's Regional Specialty at the Harrisburg KC
show. Kudos to the club for an outstanding time! There was great food and prizes all around.
At the Regional, Shirley won the American Bred class and went on to Reserve Winners Bitch,
while Finn won an Award of Merit under judge James Taylor. Sneakers earned another Rally
Advanced leg and a new title! On the other side of the country, Walter picked up 2 more points
going WD, BOW in California, under breeder judge Debra Thornton. In the juniors ring, Jessie
Thibault and Kelly won the Open Senior class over an entry of 21 juniors!
4/9/09 The Tempest Crew had a great time at the 4 day Blue and Gray Cluster this weekend!
We started things out with a good day on Thursday - Shirley won a 4 point major under judge
Cecilia Ringstrom at the Lebanon County KC show. Shelby was BOS, while Sneakers earned his
2nd Rally Advanced leg.
4/5/09 Walter earned his Draft Dog title at his first draft test with handler Debbie Bridge at the
Northern California Newf Club test. Great job Walter!! Photos to come from Todd, Walter's

3/29/09 Shelby came home with one more BOS win at the Onondaga KC show under judge Miss
Mike Macbeth, while Phoenix was once again BOS at the Douglasville KC of Georgia show under
judge Robert Shreve. The rest of the Tempest crew spent a rainy day at the 1st Annual NCNE
Newf Fest in Massachusetts. Livy worked hard in the rain to come in 2nd place in the Greatest
Draft Dog of New England competition, while Bristol won the 6-9 puppy bitch class and Kendall
won the 3-6 puppy bitch class under judge Chris Gorsuch of Bear-N-Mind Newfoundlands!
3/28/09 Phoenix was BOS in Newnan, GA at the Newnan KC show under judge Joe Lobb!
3/27/09 Shelby was again BOS in Syracuse at the North Country KC show under judge Ron
Menaker.
3/26/09 Shelby was BOS in Syracuse NY at the Finger Lakes KC show under judge Roger Hartinger.
3/15/09 Kelly repeated her 5 point major win on the second day of the CT River Shows, again
going WB, BOS under judge Barbara Alderman. Finn won another Award of Merit, and Peyton
was WD, BOW and BOB for 2 points in southern CA! Congrats again to everyone for a great
weekend!
3/14/09 The Tempest Newfs had a great weekend across the country! On the East Coast, Kelly
was WB, BOS over specials for a 5 point major under judge Beverly Capstick at the CT River
Working Group show. Kelly was handled by Jessie Thibault, who also went Best Junior with
Kelly! Finn won an AOM, and Waverly PWD won both her sweeps and regular class and was
awarded Best PWD Puppy! Across the country at Del Sur KC, Peyton was WD, BOS over a special
for another point. And on the obedience front, Sneakers picked up his first CD leg in York, PA -
congrats to owner/handler Kandy Adams!
3/13/09 Sneakers won his first Rally Advanced Leg at the York KC shows in York PA!
3/1/09 Shelby was again BOS at the Monticello NY KC show under judge Judith Goodin, while
Bodhi again won BOB! At the Newfoundland Club of New England match, Bristol and Sabina won
their classes and Sabina went on to Best of Opposite Puppy in Match under judge Bill Matlock!
Critter was Best PWD in Match. OK - she was the only PWD there, but she was still the cutest :)
2/28/09 Shelby was BOS at the Kennel Club of Northern NJ show under judge Catherine Bell and
Bodhi won BOB with handler Mark Derosiers.
2/23/09 Ashley received notification that she was the Top Producing Dam for the NCA in
2008! Congratulations to Ashley Potatoes, and to Louie, Trident, Sneakers, Mark and
Tanner, the 5 boys who helped her win this honor!
2/22/09 Across the country, Peyton was also winning a major going WD, BOW, and BOS over
Specials under judge Robert Thomas! Congratulations to Peyton's owners Charma Hill and Denise
Hatekayama and his handler Adrienne Hill!
2/22/09 Kelly was WB, BOS for a major at the Wallkill KC show in Suffern, under judge Edeltraud
Laurin! Kelly was completely groomed at presented by her Junior Handler Jessica Thibault, and
Jessie and Kelly also took a 4th and a 2nd in Junior Showmanship this weekend. Kelly is
co-owned with Jane Thibault.
2/21/09 Shelby won another BOS at Rockland County KC in Suffern, NJ under judge Lisa DeRoulet.
2/15/09 It was Jackson's turn to take home Winners honors in Hartford at the First Company
Governor's Foot Guard show, while Sonja was Reserve and Shelby was again BOS. Thanks to
Rick Krieger for handling Shelby!
2/14/09 Sonja won a Valentine's Day major under judge James Deppen at the Elm City KC show,
while Jackson was RWD and Shelby was BOS!
1/18/09 Rose finished her Championship with a three point major win going WB, BOS under
judge Terry Goldman at the Pasco Florida KC show. Huge thanks to Bill Matlock and Marget
Johnson for showing Rose in Florida!
1/17/09 Rose was WB, BOS for another 2 points in Florida under judge Phil Marsman.
1/10/09 Rose had another good day in Florida, winning 2 points under judge Joan Luna at the

1/11/09 We made it to Fitchburg in spite of the snow and Shelby was BOS under judge

1/10/09 We had a great day at the first weekend of shows for 2009! Tipper was WB, BOS for 2
points and BJ was RWB under judge James Fredricksen, in Fitchburg, MA at the Greater Lowell
KC show. Many miles away in sunny Brooksville, Florida, Tipper's sister Rose won a 4 point
major at the Inverness Florida KC show under judge Judith Ann Smith. Thanks to Bill Matlock for

11/12/09 Today was a very sad day for the Tempest crew as we said goodbye to our senior dog
Quinner. He was 12 years and 1 month old today.
11/8/09 Dottie was WB, and BOS for a point in Fitchburg, MA under judge Robert Fetter! And at
the NPD Draft Test, Sneakers earned his DD! Go Sneakers and Kandy!
11/7/09 Sabina was WB, and BOS for a point in Fitchburg, MA under judge William Shelton.
Sabina also won Best BBE and BBE Working Group 3rd!
10/25/09 On Sunday, in Dixon, CA Walter again won BOS at the Sacramento Valley Dog Fanciers
show under judge Paula Nykiel, while Fancy repeated her wins in the 9-12 Regular and Sweeps
classes in Leesburg, VA and again went on to Reserve Winners Bitch at the Colonial Regional
Specialty under breeder judge Beverly Eichel. It was a great finish to a fabulous weekend!

10/24/09 On Saturday, Tink won 1st in the 12-18 class at the Sacramento Valley Dog Fanciers
show under judge Jean Fournier, while Fancy won the 9-12 Regular and Sweeps classes in
Leesburg, VA and went on to Reserve Winners Bitch at the Colonial Regional Specialty under
breeder judge Brenda Santiago. In the Northeast, Kelly won BOB and Ben won BOS in
Springfield, MA under judge Steven Gladstone, and in the south, Stonewall was Winners Dog and
Best of Winners for the final points to complete his Championship under judge Terry Berrios!
10/23/09 The Tempest Newfs had a wonderful weekend from coast-to-coast! On Friday Walter
won BOS at the NCNC Regional in Northern CA under breeder judge Roger Frey!
10/18/09 On Sunday in West Springfield, MA at the Troy KC show, Dottie was WB for another
point, while Bodhi won BOB and a Working Group 2 under judge Bonnie Linnell Clarke! On the
other coast, Walter was BOS at the Del Valle KC show in northern CA.
10/11/09 On Sunday in Augusta, NJ, Sabina was Winners Bitch, Best of Winners, and Best Puppy
for a 3 point major under judge Judith Goodin at the Ramapo Valley KC show. She also went on
to a Puppy Working Group 3 under Robert Indeglia. Bodhi won BOB! Walter again won BOB in
Yuba City, CA under judge Joan Frailey at the Two Cities KC show. Phoenix again requalified
for his WRD at the SENC Water Test, and Grover finished his Rally Novice title in just 3 shows
with scores of 92, 98 and 96!
10/10/09 The Tempest Newfs continued their great weekend on Saturday! In Augusta, NJ,
Sabina was Reserve Winners Bitch, and Best Puppy in SHOW at the Ramapo Valley KC show
under breed Barbara Finch, Puppy Group judge Gay Hisatocky and Puppy BIS judge David
Osbourne. Meanwhile on the other side of the country, the Walter won BOB in Yuba City, CA
under judge Lowell Davis at the Two Cities KC show. Travelling south, Phoenix requalified for
his WRD at the SENC Water Test.
10/9/09 Ashley was Best Veteran Newfoundland at the Harvest Cluster show in Augusta, NJ under
breeder judge Janet Cohen!
10/4/09 Sabina was Best Puppy in Match at the NCNE Fall Fun Match under breeder judge Robin
Seaman, while Shelby's Mr Blue Boy was Best of Opposite Puppy in Match from the 3-6 mos class!
Meanwhile on the other side of the country, the puppies "Uncle Walter" won BOS in Northern
CA.
9/27/09 Sabina was Winners Bitch for her first win - a 3 point major under judge Doris Cozart!

9/26/09 BJ was Winners Bitch for a 4 point major and her Championship at the Genessee
Regional Specialty under judge Jacqueline Rayner. Sabina won the 9-12 puppy bitch class in
regular and Sweeps and was also Best in Sweepstakes. Kelly was BOS, while Bodhi won the
AOM! A great regional for the Tempest crew!
9/25/09 Bodhi won BOB under judge Patricia Lanctot and Shelby was BOS at the second day of
the Wine Country Circuit!
9/24/09 BJ won a 3 point major under judge Virginia Lyne at the first day of the Wine Country
Circuit in Romulus NY! Sabina was Reserve WB from the 9-12 puppy class.
9/20/09 Dottie won her very first point going Winners Bitch and BOW, while Kelly was BOS
under judge Kathryn Roberts at the Northwestern CT Dog Club show in Goshen, CT! But even
more exciting was the news that Stonewall won a major in Atlanta at the Newnan KC show under
judge Susan Catlin!
9/19/09 BJ was Winners Bitch for another point and Shelby was BOS at the Ox Ridge KC show in
Shelton, CT under judge Pat Laurans. In Atlanta, GA under judge Catherine Bell, Stonewall was
Winners Dog, Best of Winners for 2 more points!
9/16/09 Ben earned his CGC with owner Jackie Regina at Tails-U-Win training center. Go Ben

8/28/09 Kelly was BOB at the Newton KC show in Augusta NJ under judge Robert Smith. Go
Jessie and Kelly!! Further north, Ben won WD and BOB under judge Tom Nesbitt for another
point toward his Canadian Championship.
8/23/09 Kelly won another 4 BOS wins Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday in West
Springfield, MA, while Stonewall picked up 2 more points in Atlanta, GA!
8/16/09 The Tempest Newfs had a great weekend at the NCNE Water Test! Renata, Bodhi,
Trident, Livy, Grover and Finn all turned in great performances, and Livy and Grover came home
with new Water Dog titles! Congrats to Livy (handled by Steve) and to Grover (handled by
Joyce Arivella)!
8/9/09 Kelly finished the weekend with another BOS win at the Bennington KC show under
judge Robert Whitney. Stonewall was WD, BOW for another 2 points at the Carolina KC show
under judge Patricia Hess, and Jackson finished out his big weekend with a third win under
judge Judith Smith - WD, BOW for a third 4 point major to finish his Championship! Huge
thanks to David Helming for showing Jackson to his weekend wins!
8/8/09 Kelly was BOB at the Southern Adirondack Dog Club Supported Entry under judge Roger
Frey, while Bodhi was BOS. Kelly was handled by Jessie Thibault and went on to a Group 4
placement under judge Lorraine Boutwell! Jackson won another 4 point major at the Penn Ridge
KC show in Harrisburg, under judge Peter Baynes.
8/7/09 The Tempest Newfs were out in force this weekend! Jackson was WD, BOW and BOB for
a 4 point major at the Penn Ridge KC show in Harrisburg, PA under judge Robert Eisele. He
went on to a Group 4 under judge Ed Lyons. Stonewall was WD, BOW for 2 more points at the
Greater Hickory KC under judge Carmen Battaglia, and Sneakers earned his third Rally Excellent
leg to finish his title!
8/6/09 Bodhi was BOB and won the Working Group in Ballston Spa at the Glens Falls KC show
under judge Barbara Dempsey Alderman, who judged the breed and the group!! Kelly was BOS
shown by junior handler Jessie Thibault!

8/2/09 BJ was again WB, BOS for a single point at the Cheshire KC Show in Keene, NH. Jackson

8/1/09 Jackson won BOB at the Pioneer Valley KC for one point under judge Anthony DiNardo!

7/31/09 Ben won BOB and a Group 3 in Canada at the Societe Canine De Quebec show in Sainte
Foy, Quebec under judge Ann Hennigan! This was Ben's first Canadian win!

7/18/09 Kelly was again BOB at the Nita Nee KC and Jessie and Kelly again won Best Junior
honors. This is Jessie's 10th first place win in Open Senior and qualifies her to show in Juniors

6/28/09 Bodhi was again BOB on Sunday at Wampanoag KC, and went on to a Group 4 placement
in the Working Group! Go Bodhi!! Kelly was BOS handled by Jessie Thibault!
6/27/09 Bodhi won another BOB at the Hockamock KC, while Critter PWD was Best Puppy and
took home a Puppy Group 4 with handler Joanne Thibault!
6/20/09 At the Bear Mtn Regional Specialty, Sabina again won the 6-9 puppy bitch class, Best
Puppy and Best in Puppy Sweeps! Shirley won the BBE class under judge May Bernhardt, while
Shelby was BOS.
6/19/09 Sabina won the 6-9 puppy bitch class at the Bear Mtn Supported Entry and Best in Puppy
Sweeps under judge Diane Keyser! BJ was WB for a 5 point major under judge Helene Nietsch,
while Shelby won BOS.
6/6/09 Critter won first place in the 6-9 puppy sweeps and 6-9 regular classes at the Nutmeg
PWD Specialty at the Greenwich KC show under judge Wendy Wilhauck. Critter was beautifully
groomed and presented by junior handler Joanne Thibault. Critter was also Best PWD Puppy and
Bristol was Best Newfoundland Puppy, and after both competing in the Puppy Working Group,
Critter ended the day with a Puppy Working Group 1! Kelly also competed at Greenwich in her
first weekend as a special and won BOS, while Bodhi won BOB and made the cut in the real
Working Group.
6/5/09 Bodhi was BOS at the Taconic Hills KC!
5/31/09 Kelly finished her Championship in style with a 4th major at the Framingham District KC
show in Wrentham, MA. Kelly was WB, BOW under judge William DeVilleneuve and was handled
exclusively to her Championship by her junior handler Jessica Thibault! Congrats to Jessie and
Kelly and to the rest of Kelly's family - Jane and Lori! Kelly is Ashley's 15th Champion!
5/25/09 Peyton won another BOB on the final day of the Mission Circuit, while Walter was WD,
BOW for his final point! Congrats to Todd and Debbie Bridge on Walter's Championship!! Livy is
very proud of her two new Champion offspring in one weekend!
5/24/09 Peyton again won the Breed at the Mission Circuit, while in Northern CA his brother
Walter earned another Championship point owner handled by Debbie Bridge! Across the country
in Freehold NJ, Bodhi took home a BOB ribbon as well!
5/23/09 The Tempest Crew had great wins in 2 countries - Peyton moved up and went BOB over
some top Specials on the second day of the Mission Circuit under judge Lester Mapes. At the
Canadian National, Bristol won the junior puppy (6-9 mos) bitch class in Sweeps under judge Lory
Ross, and went on to Best of Opposite Sex in the Puppy Sweepstakes! Bristol also won the
regular junior puppy class under breed judge John Ross. Renata won the Open Class and went on
to Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex over the Specials! Renata was BOS to her father
Jefferson who won the Canadian National going WD, BOW, BOB!
5/22/09 Peyton was Winners Dog for a 3 point major to finish his Championship at the first day
of the Mission Circuit in CA under judge Betty Regina Leininger! It was a great start to the
Memorial Day weekend for the Tempest Newfs!
5/16/09 Bodhi was BOB at the Vacationland KC show under judge Charles Olvis and went on to a
Group 3 placement!
5/10/09 Bodhi repeated his Saturday performance on Sunday with a BOB win at the Windham
County KC under judge Barbara Dempsey Alderman, and another Group 2 placement under judge
Paula Nykiel! Kelly was WB, BOS for another point. Kelly now only needs one single point to
finish her Championship! Kelly was shown by junior handler Jessie Thibault.
5/9/09 Bodhi was BOB at the St Hubert's Kennel Club show and went on to a Group 2 under judge
Edeltraud Laurin!
5/3/09 Peyton won another BOB in California and went on to a Group 3 win under judge Burton
Yamada! Congrats to Peyton's owners Charma and Adrienne Hill, and Denise Hatekayama!
4/26/09-5/2/09 Newfoundland National Specialty, Frankenmuth, MI
- Mark earned his DD on the first day of the National Specialty Draft Test - congrats to his
owner/handler Karen Dunaway!
- Sneakers earned two Rally Excellent legs and two Novice obedience legs to finish his CD at
the National! Congrats to owner/handler Kandy Adams!
- Bristol was 3rd in her 6-9 mos Puppy Sweeps class and 2nd in the 6-9 mos regular Puppy
class.
- Hollis was 2nd in the 9-12 mos regular Puppy class.
- Shirley was 2nd in the American Bred bitch class handled by Steve, while Kelly won the
class handled by junior handler Jessie Thibault! Kelly and Jessie also came in 2nd place in
the Open Senior Junior handling competition.
- Finn earned 2 Rally Novice legs with owner-handler Kirsten Tomlinson and now just needs
one more leg for his title!
- BJ won the Open Black class handled by breeder-owner-handler Ingrid Lyden! Ingrid also
handled BJ's Mom Andie in the Top 20 competition.
- Walter picked up another Rally Advanced leg, and a 2nd place in the American Bred dog
class! Thanks to Sonda Petersen for handling him to his class win and his owner-handler
Debbie Bridge for his excellent work in Rally.
- Phoenix won the VN Dog class with owner-handler Donna Smith! Donna did a fabulous job
showing Phoenix in a tough class!!
- Ashley, Shelby and Bristol were 2nd in the Maturity Class, while the Tempest Crew
(represented by Shelby, Shirley and Mark) came in 3rd in the Breeder's Class under judge
Sandra D'Andrea!
- Livy won the Brood Bitch class (accompanied by Shirley and Jackson) in a large,
competitive entry, under judge Donna Buxton.
- Thanks to all of the Tempest crew who travelled to the National - it was great to see
everyone in the ring!!!
4/24/09 Peyton won BOB in California and went on to a Group 4 win under judge Ed Lyons!

4/12/09 The Tempest crew rounded out the long show weekend at the Mason & Dixon KC show
with a BOS win for Shelby, first in Sweeps and Regular 6-9 mos puppy class for Bristol Bear, and
1st in the American Bred Class for Shirley. The Sweeps judge was Lynn Hamilton and the regular
classes were judged by Lawrence Stanbridge.
4/11/09 We had a wonderful time at New-Pen-Del's Regional Specialty at the Harrisburg KC
show. Kudos to the club for an outstanding time! There was great food and prizes all around.
At the Regional, Shirley won the American Bred class and went on to Reserve Winners Bitch,
while Finn won an Award of Merit under judge James Taylor. Sneakers earned another Rally
Advanced leg and a new title! On the other side of the country, Walter picked up 2 more points
going WD, BOW in California, under breeder judge Debra Thornton. In the juniors ring, Jessie
Thibault and Kelly won the Open Senior class over an entry of 21 juniors!
4/9/09 The Tempest Crew had a great time at the 4 day Blue and Gray Cluster this weekend!
We started things out with a good day on Thursday - Shirley won a 4 point major under judge
Cecilia Ringstrom at the Lebanon County KC show. Shelby was BOS, while Sneakers earned his
2nd Rally Advanced leg.
4/5/09 Walter earned his Draft Dog title at his first draft test with handler Debbie Bridge at the

3/29/09 Shelby came home with one more BOS win at the Onondaga KC show under judge Miss
Mike Macbeth, while Phoenix was once again BOS at the Douglasville KC of Georgia show under
judge Robert Shreve. The rest of the Tempest crew spent a rainy day at the 1st Annual NCNE
Newf Fest in Massachusetts. Livy worked hard in the rain to come in 2nd place in the Greatest
Draft Dog of New England competition, while Bristol won the 6-9 puppy bitch class and Kendall
won the 3-6 puppy bitch class under judge Chris Gorsuch of Bear-N-Mind Newfoundlands!
3/28/09 Phoenix was BOS in Newnan, GA at the Newnan KC show under judge Joe Lobb!
3/27/09 Shelby was again BOS in Syracuse at the North Country KC show under judge Ron
Menaker.
3/26/09 Shelby was BOS in Syracuse NY at the Finger Lakes KC show under judge Roger Hartinger.
3/15/09 Kelly repeated her 5 point major win on the second day of the CT River Shows, again
going WB, BOS under judge Barbara Alderman. Finn won another Award of Merit, and Peyton
was WD, BOW and BOB for 2 points in southern CA! Congrats again to everyone for a great

3/14/09 The Tempest Newfs had a great weekend across the country! On the East Coast, Kelly
was WB, BOS over specials for a 5 point major under judge Beverly Capstick at the CT River
Working Group show. Kelly was handled by Jessie Thibault, who also went Best Junior with
Kelly! Finn won an AOM, and Waverly PWD won both her sweeps and regular class and was
awarded Best PWD Puppy! Across the country at Del Sur KC, Peyton was WD, BOS over a special
for another point. And on the obedience front, Sneakers picked up his first CD leg in York, PA -
congrats to owner/handler Kandy Adams!
3/13/09 Sneakers won his first Rally Advanced Leg at the York KC shows in York PA!
3/1/09 Shelby was again BOS at the Monticello NY KC show under judge Judith Goodin, while
Bodhi again won BOB! At the Newfoundland Club of New England match, Bristol and Sabina won
their classes and Sabina went on to Best of Opposite Puppy in Match under judge Bill Matlock!
Critter was Best PWD in Match. OK - she was the only PWD there, but she was still the cutest :)
2/28/09 Shelby was BOS at the Kennel Club of Northern NJ show under judge Catherine Bell and
Bodhi won BOB with handler Mark Derosiers.
2/23/09 Ashley received notification that she was the Top Producing Dam for the NCA in
2008! Congratulations to Ashley Potatoes, and to Louie, Trident, Sneakers, Mark and
Tanner, the 5 boys who helped her win this honor!
2/22/09 Across the country, Peyton was also winning a major going WD, BOW, and BOS over

2/22/09 Kelly was WB, BOS for a major at the Wallkill KC show in Suffern, under judge Edeltraud
Laurin! Kelly was completely groomed at presented by her Junior Handler Jessica Thibault, and
Jessie and Kelly also took a 4th and a 2nd in Junior Showmanship this weekend. Kelly is
co-owned with Jane Thibault.

2/15/09 It was Jackson's turn to take home Winners honors in Hartford at the First Company
Governor's Foot Guard show, while Sonja was Reserve and Shelby was again BOS. Thanks to

1/10/09 We had a great day at the first weekend of shows for 2009! Tipper was WB, BOS for 2
points and BJ was RWB under judge James Fredricksen, in Fitchburg, MA at the Greater Lowell
KC show. Many miles away in sunny Brooksville, Florida, Tipper's sister Rose won a 4 point
major at the Inverness Florida KC show under judge Judith Ann Smith. Thanks to Bill Matlock for
handling Rose to this win!
